Martin has been resident in Barbados, West Indies since mid 2020, after spending a decade living in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was the recipient of the first Welcome Stamp visa, and has lived on the island ever since.
In Barbados, Martin has run several international search conferences (BarbadosSEO) featuring around a hundred international speakers on all search marketing topics, and runs a quarterly BarbadosSEO Local meetup for Bajans and fellow immigrants working on the island in the digital marketing field.
Prior to his stint in the US, martin lived and worked in London for six years, and lived in Spain from childhood through to his late 20’s.
Growing up in Marbella attending school in the 1980s and 1990s, and working for Spanish companies in the early 2000s, he considers Spain to be his true home, but travels frequently back to his family home of Inverness, Scotland.
