This is an idea.
This isn’t an SEO conference like BrightonSEO or PubCon (both of which I adore, this just isn’t that).
Here’s the working concept so far: a two day meeting of some of the best in SEO and Digital Marketing, limited to around 20 attendees and 10 speakers, in the Caribbean island paradise of Barbados.
Five presentations each day, several roundtables, and maximum audience participation.
I’m not referring to about Q&A sessions at the end of the day, I’m talking about real-time back and forth between expert speakers and expert attendees, both after and during their sessions.
With a 2:1 ratio between speakers and guests, there will be nowhere to hide – bringing together an amazing group of people is the point.
Each speaker will attend all of both days, and everyone will be there for the business focused networking during the day and evening meals.
No sales pitches, no hyperbole, re-hashed ‘same old’ talks, just experts discussing their proven strategies (or failures) which helped get them to the very top of their field.
Catered lunches on both days in a spectacular, historic Caribbean venue, dinner both evenings in top class restaurants.
Again, this is an idea.
As attendance will be strictly limited, I’ll need to work out the best way of bringing together the best minds in search. There are a lot of unknowns right now.
Not least in the unknown category, is what travel will look like in 2021, so everything is subject to change.
If there is enough interest, I will personally reach out to amazing, accomplished search professionals in the coming weeks and we’ll see if we can make this idea work.
How much will it cost? Again, unknown right now, if there is interest and I can arrange the best expert speakers in the world, I’ll work out the total cost. No money will be requested to secure your place until the agenda is confirmed and travel protocols for 2021 are established, that goes without saying.
If there is enough interest I’ll start formulating actual plans and full dates, reaching out to guests at every step of the process to ensure I’m taking into consideration other people’s ideas and preferences.
While this is my dream conference, I want it to be yours, too.
